Morgan Annia Whetsel is the daughter of Monique and Kelvin Molden and Michael and Shernika Cargle. She lives in Perry, Florida and is the second born and oldest daughter of her siblings known at home as the “Magnificent 7." Morgan loves to learn and is an avid reader. In 2021, she attended Point of Grace Christian School, and was an active member of the Key Club whose focus is leadership through service. Currently, Morgan is a Junior at Taylor County High School where she continues to be an honor student and a member of the Lady Bulldogs Varsity Softball team. Upon graduation, Morgan plans to attend “Thee Illustrious” Florida A & M University to follow in her mother’s footsteps and pursue a career in nursing with a focus on mental health.
The minds of the youth of today are poisoned with tragedy and trauma. Therefore, Morgan desires to use her platform to provide mental and physical health guidance and assistance for the youth in the black community. Ultimately, Morgan plans to sell real estate and explore the world while working as a travel nurse.
Morgan is proud to be a Christian and feels that serving God has been, is, and will forever be the best part of her life! She is an active member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, under the Pastorship of Reverend Barry Young. She is a member of the choir and serves with the youth ministry. Morgan is passionate about giving back so she volunteers at the local Boys and Girls club and the Whetsel Family Child Care Center. Other hobbies include traveling, shopping for the latest fashion, and spending time with her family and friends. Morgan has a special love and respect for the game of softball. She also enjoys playing volleyball and tumbling.
Morgan is no stranger to competition! Since the tender age of seven, she has been competing in her local community. She is the first African American to be crowned Miss Moon Pie of Taylor County. In 2014, She was crowned Miss Essence of Taylor County. At the age of four, Morgan exhibited a natural talent for flipping and gymnastics. She became a member of the Taylor Elite Cheer and Dance Team and has received several gold medals. In 2019-2021, she was a member of the Taylor County Tumbling Team. Presently, Morgan is a member of the Adiktiv Competitive Travel Softball Team that plays in the states of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. They have won several State and Regional Championship Titles.
One of her most memorable accomplishments was being crowned Miss Juneteenth Taylor County on June 10th, 2023. Furthermore, on August 5th, 2023, Morgan made history and was crowned the Inaugural Miss Juneteenth Florida. Morgan believes regardless of what comes her way, NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD. “For God is within her, and she will not fail.” Queen Morgan is honored to represent Florida, the “SUNSHINE STATE” in the Miss Juneteenth USA Pageant.
Camryn Butts was born to the parents of Erika and Carl Butts on August 12, 2013. Camryn was born in Tampa, Florida and is 10 years old. Camryn is a 5th grade student at Witter Elementary where she is the captain of the Witter dance squad, participates on the school step team, maintains honor roll and has recently been selected to be a safety patrol for the 2023-2024 school year. In her spare time Camryn gives back to the community by feeding the homeless, and tutoring 1st graders in mathematics.
She loves dancing, gymnastics and all-star cheerleading. Camryn has been cheering for Xtreme Reign all-stars for 5 years where she participates in competitions. When she grows up, Camryn wants to become a cosmetologist who owns her own cosmetic line. Her favorite color is gold and she enjoys playing with her dog. Camryn lives by the quote "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
